Introducing Athletes Give Back
April 5, 2023 - Today Honorarium is pleased to announce Athletes Give Back and the release of new product features that allow student athletes the ability to donate a portion of their Honorarium NIL earnings to charity.
Earlier this year Honorarium rolled out select charity partnerships with Morgan’s Message and The Hidden Opponent to offer mental health awareness programming to it’s student athletes. Now Honorarium student athletes have the option to donate a percentage of their Honorarium NIL earnings to either Morgan’s Message or The Hidden Opponent.
Student athletes who choose to support Athletes Give Back will have a special badge displayed on their Honorarium profile. Student athletes will be able to choose to donate any percentage of their Honorarium NIL earnings to either charity.
Many student athletes already volunteer their time with Morgan’s Message and The Hidden Opponent, now they have the ability is support them financially with NIL earnings.

The Hidden Opponent COO, Leeann Passaro expresses her excitement about the new features on Honorarium - “The Hidden Opponent is thrilled to be partnering with Honorarium to provide NIL and charity opportunities to athletes across the country. Honorarium is providing a unique and honorable way for athletes to give back to charity while also getting compensated fairly for their name, image and likeness. Now that student athletes can donate a portion of their NIL earrings to charity, Honorarium is committed to making a significant impact on Giving Tuesday by dedicating 100% of its profits to support their Select Charity Partner organizations. This contribution testament to the company's dedication to supporting mental health initiatives and its partnership with The Hidden Opponent. Giving Tuesday is a meaningful way for Honorarium to give back and make a positive impact on the community.

About The Hidden Opponent
The Hidden Opponent (THO) was founded in 2019 by Victoria Browne, former Division I athlete and PAC-12 Champion who was a four year starter on the University of Southern California Women's Volleyball team. THO is named after Garrick's 2017 TEDxTalk, which details her personal battle with depression and anxiety, and the mental health crisis facing athletes around the world.
