Jami Reed
Jami Reed is an exemplary SEC athlete. In high school, not only did Reed set her school record for the 800 meters, 1600 meters, and the 3200 meters, she also achieved all-state cross country in 2017 and 2018. In her first season with Alabama, she finished 15th at the Brooks Memphis Twilight Classic during her cross country season, and finished fourth as a part of the Distance Medley Relay team for the Tide with a season best time of 11 minutes and 27 seconds during her indoor season.
Reed continued to have amazing meets and set personal records in her 2020 cross country season. She won a silver medal for the 5k race at the Florida State Invitational, as well as won the 6k race in the season opener at the Vanderbilt Commodore Classic.
Her success carried into the 2021 indoor season where she was awarded gold in the distance medley relay at the SEC Indoor Track and Field Championships. Jami additionally helped her team place second in the mile at the South Carolina Invitational. We look forward to watching Reed and the Crimson Tide continue to thrive.
